When you choose a racehorse, don't rely on a picture, as photos cannot tell you everything about the animal.
Nowadays there are about half a million of these animals in the world. The hallmark of this breed is spots and splashes of white color on the bay, roan, chestnut or red background. These spotted animals are very ancient; they are painted in caves, which trace back to about 20,000 years ago.

This breed originated when some animals brought by the Spaniards escaped and were stolen by the Indians who valued such creatures greatly for their speed, intelligence and endurance. Due to harsh conditions of the feral lifestyle only the best animals survived and produced offspring.
