Quater Horses
Prior to purchasing quater horses from the breeders, ask to see picture galleries of their breeding stock.
These animals possess a very muscular body, and they were initially used in short-distance races and were bred for speed, stamina and endurance. Their hindquarters are so muscular that these animals are usually photographed from behind. The first race took place in 1694 at Enrico County, Virginia.
